Placement schemes and volunteering

Find out about our work experience scheme and volunteering opportunities.

Work experience

We also provide opportunities for unpaid work experience placements of up to two weeks for 15 and 16 year olds from local schools.

These placements are usually set up by the school, who provide us with information about the student's preferred area of work. To find out the type of work available, please see our corporate management structure page.

We are proud to have been awarded the Fair Train Gold Standard for the quality of our work placements

Volunteering opportunities within the Healthy Lifestyles Team

Receive training to deliver Flexercise sessions in your local community, sheltered housing scheme, residential home, care home, nursing home or other group that you are part of. Ongoing support and Update Workshops are available for leaders after training.
Free training is available to deliver Health Walks (walks up to an hour) for members of your local community or group. No prior knowledge of leading walks or exercise is required. Leaders are supported after training, with the promotion of the walks, planning, risk assessing and leading their first walk as well as ongoing support.
For more information on Flexercise and Health Walk volunteering opportunities please contact the Healthy Lifestyles Team on 01935 462348 or email
